Каждый год накануне праздника православной Пасхи в Иерусалиме происходит чудо схождения Благодатного огня. // Every year, on the eve of the Orthodox Easter holiday, a miracle of the descent of the Holy Fire takes place in Jerusalem.

Чтобы увидеть чудо схождения Благодатного огня, в Иерусалим приезжают десятки тысяч паломников. И еще миллионы людей по всему миру следят за видеотрансляцией службы по телевизорам или в сети. Для православных это главный символ Воскрешения Христа, знак жизни и связи Бога и людей.

«Я есмь с вами во все дни до скончания века», — сказал восставший из мертвых Иисус своей пастве*, и залогом* этого обета для верующих как раз и служит загорающийся каждый год небесный огонь. Если же однажды этого чуда не произойдет, мир, согласно церковному преданию, ждет скорый конец.

* «I am with you all the days until the end of the world,» — said the risen Jesus to his flock*, and the pledge* of this vow for believers is precisely the heavenly fire that ignites every year. If one day this miracle does not happen, the world, according to church tradition, is waiting for the near end.

Лампады с Благодатным огнем развозят в разные уголки мира, в том числе и в Россию. В Москве с ним проходит пасхальная служба в Храме Христа Спасителя.

Схождение Благодатного огня в Иерусалиме происходит в Великую субботу, накануне православной Пасхи, в этом 2023 году от Рождества Христова — это 16 апреля. Сколько именно придется ждать сошествия Благодатного огня, не в силах сказать никто — это может быть и пять минут, и несколько часов.

По некоторым свидетельствам, у верующих в храме и даже за его пределами на улице сами собой загорались свечи, на стенах в разных местах появлялись яркие всполохи, сверкали молнии. Что же касается самого пламени, то в первые минуты после появления оно не обжигает — огонь можно держать в руках, многие даже символически «умываются» им.

* According to some testimonies, the faithful in the temple and even outside on the street lit candles by themselves, bright flashes appeared on the walls in different places, lightning flashed. As for the flame itself, in the first minutes after its appearance it does not burn — you can hold the fire in your hands, many even symbolically «wash» with it.

Кстати, температуру Благодатного огня даже измеряли несколько раз — чтобы понять, почему он поначалу не обжигает. Выяснилось, что сразу после возникновения температура у пламени — 40 градусов по Цельсию, а уже через 15 минут — за 300 градусов. Научного толкования этому явлению пока не нашлось.

Благодатный огонь прибыл в Екатеринбург // The Holy Fire has arrived in Yekaterinburg

В Екатеринбург в ночь на 16 апреля 2023 года в честь светлого дня Пасхи из Иерусалима доставили Благодатный огонь. Спецборт со святыней, сошедшей в храме Гроба Господня, приземлился в Кольцово. Затем его привезли в Храм-на-Крови, откуда передали в другие храмы и церкви города и области.

* In Yekaterinburg on the night of April 16, 2023, in honor of the bright day of Easter, a Holy Fire was delivered from Jerusalem. The special board with the shrine, which descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, landed in Koltsovo. Then the Fire was brought to the Temple-on-Blood, from where it was transferred to other temples and churches of the city and around the region.
