For more than 10 years Voronezh was known as a “City Garden” – annual garden festivals, agricultural exhibitions were held, like Voronezh Festival of Gardens and Flowers “Garden City”, and this year due to the green territory Voronezh got on the cover of the International Programme Tree Cities of the World http://treecitiesoftheworld.org/about.cfm in the “About” section, but was included in the list at the start of 2020 to give a chance to save the garden. But now the garden is being destroyed for the construction of a mega-school, while there is a decree from 2011 on the construction of a school in the area, but it is not being implemented. Более 10 лет Воронеж был известен как “Город-Сад” – проводились ежегодные садовые фестивали, аграрные выставки, как Воронежский фестиваль садов и цветов «Город-Сад» (vk.com/club152993594). А в этом году Воронеж попал, благодаря зеленой территории города, на обложку международного конкурса Tree Cities of the World (Города Деревьев мира) в разделе “О проекте”, но в список попал только в начале 2020 года, чтобы дать шанс на спасение сада. Но сейчас сад уничтожают под застройку мега-школы, в то время как есть постановление от 2011 года по строительству школы в этом районе, но оно не исполняется. A cutting permit was issued by the Voronezh city ecology department only for 365 apple trees, several pears and plums, 4 elms, 1 larch and rosehip bushes, but (!) construction contractors have no right to touch oaks, birches, pines, maples.

The city authorities announced plans for the development of this territory long ago. Then it was about the construction of a school (which the district really needs), kindergartens and the creation of a park. However, in June 2021, a project for the integrated development of this territory – 52 hectares – was presented at the Forum “Architecture of the VRN”. In particular, the plans include, in addition to the construction of social institutions, the construction of a residential neighborhood for 24 thousand people. Residents of the surrounding areas strongly opposed the plans of the authorities and began collecting signatures on a petition addressed to President Vladimir Putin.

Планы об освоении этой территории городские власти анонсировали давно. Тогда речь шла о строительстве школы (которая району действительно остро необходима), детских садов и создании парка. Однако в июне 2021 года на форуме «Зодчество ВРН» был представлен проект комплексного развития этой территории — в 52 га. В частности, в планах, помимо строительства учреждений соцсферы, строительство жилого микрорайона на 24 тыс. человек. Жители прилегающих районов выступили резко против планов властей и начали собирать подписи под петицией в адрес президента Владимира Путина.

Так, более 2300 подписей были переданы 30 июля 2021 года о просьбе создать парк на территории сада. Активисты согласны с созданием в парке коммерческих объектов, но чтобы парк был доступен для всех и сохранились имеющиеся дубы, березы, сосны, клены, осины, липы и другие здоровые деревья.

Moreover, the garden presumably stands on the bones of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. It was here, where apple orchards were planted then specifically to perpetuate the memory of ancestors / heroes and not to build on bones.

One of the DSK structures has received the right to build objects on the “valuable” territory, having offered an unprecedented amount at the auction – 1.69 billion rubles. This is how much the developer will pay per year for renting 52 hectares between Lomonosov, Zagorovsky, Moskovsky Prospekt and Moskovsky Kvartal residential complex. It is planned to build a million square meters of housing there.
Напомним, тема застройки яблоневых садов стала для Воронежа очень резонансной. Право возвести объекты на «ценной» территории получила одна из структур ДСК, предложив на торгах беспрецедентную сумму – 1,69 млрд рублей. Именно столько застройщик будет платить в год за аренду 52 га между улицами Ломоносова, Загоровского, Московским проспектом и ЖК «Московский квартал». Там планируется построить миллион квадратных метров жилья.
