The Dormition Cathedral (sometimes translated Assumption Cathedral) (1158-1160) and The Cathedral of Saint Demetrius (1194-1197).\u00a0<strong>On the outskirts\u00a0<\/strong>of Vladimir, in Bogolubovo\u00a0<strong>settlement<\/strong>, there is another white-stone church \u2013 The Church of the Intercession on the Nerl River (1165).\u00a0<strong>Noteworthy that\u00a0<\/strong>the golden age of white-stone building fell on the government of Vladimir Monomakh\u2019s grandsons \u2013 Andrey I Yuryevich Bogolubsky (near 1111-1174) and his brother Vsevolod III Yuryevich, or Vsevolod Vladimir was a rich trading city. Out of these, only the white-stone Golden Gate,\u00a0<strong>the main passage tower<\/strong>\u00a0of the fortress, has survived up to this day. Later\u00a0<strong>extensions<\/strong>\u00a0somewhat\u00a0<strong>distorted\u00a0<\/strong>the monumental\u00a0<strong>appearance<\/strong>\u00a0of the Golden Gate, and the cultural layer reduced their height by full 1.5 m.\u00a0<strong>Nevertheless<\/strong>, this structure\u00a0<strong>is rightfully<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>considered<\/strong>\u00a0one of\u00a0<strong>the most remarkable monuments<\/strong>\u00a0of ancient Russian\u00a0fortification.
